The most important thing in my life is my family. My wife, Sarah, is the beautiful mother of our sweet girls, Anna and Ella, and our boys, Asher and Jude.

​I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, Iowa, but have spent time on both coasts. My hobbies include spending time with my family and dog, Maggie, as well as watching and playing sports of all kind (especially basketball and golf), hiking, camping, craft beer and whiskey, and of course, coffee (by choice and necessity).

Sarah

For some reason unbeknownst to me, my wife said "I do" to a lowly graduate student on June 11, 2011. She is far and away the best person I have ever met. She consistently challenges me to be a better husband and father simply by rocking her roles as a wife and mother.

Anna joined our family in 2018 and is such an amazing girl. She is so sweet to the boys, amazingly resilient and a truly beautiful soul. She is spunky, goofy like her momma and really quite witty. We are so very lucky to call her our daughter. 

On May 17, 2019, we finalized Anna's adoption through the Washington State foster care system. ​

​Asher (7)

We met Ash on June 9, 2016 and were immediately smitten. He is absolutely one of the greatest joys in our lives. Asher is also one proud big brother, showing Jude how to get into trouble and dolling out constant kisses to Ella. He would also follow his big sister to the ends of the earth. 

On June 2, 2017, we finalized Asher's adoption through the Washington State foster care system. ​

Jude (5)

Jude was born on January 11th, 2018 and our hearts exploded. He is the epitome of an "old soul." Smart as a whip, stubborn as a mule, Jude constantly keeps us on our toes. 

Ella (22 months)

This little lady... Ella was born on January 28, 2022. She is her mother and I couldn't love her more. Sleep is a work in progress but the quality time in the middle of the night is worth the slog of the next day.
